  I was trying to do some cleaning and found some of my wedding photos and really wanted to scrap one.  The paper girls have a sewing challenge going on right now and I knew it would be perfect for my wedding photo.  I sewed around the outside with my sewing machine. I knew I wanted to hand sew the ombre feather and I'm really happy with how it came out.  Of course, I did some water color again because I'm on a water color kick.  I also decided to make my journaling hidden because it is a really crazy story about some killer squirrels that goes with this photo.  

  I love yellow pages.  They always make me so happy.  I made this for SWAT drill 16 .  The layout sketch was a fun one to work with.  I stitched the pink cloud and then made another one out of some vellum.  At first the cloud was going to be yellow, but I wanted to make it stand out more so pink it was!  I also used some weird texture board that I had laying around and I misted it up with yellow, orange, and pink. Normally, I make my pages about the event in the picture.  This photo was originally going to tell about my daughter playing in the sprinkler, but it turned out to be more about her expression.  So my journaling was more like a little prayer for my daughter then the normal story telling.     The twist for the drill was some twine.  I used it for the button and I also wanted to use it to stitch the cloud, but I only had yellow and blue twine and that wasn't working well.

  I had more photos that I wanted to scrapbook of this hike we did last year.  I'm very happy with this layout.  I wasn't positive the photos hanging all out on the top of the page was going to balance well with all the emptiness in the middle, but the ink splats really helped fill the void.   I normally stay away from brown, but on a nature page these brown thickers did the trick and I got to use my new golden yellow washi tape!   Rattlesnake Ridge is one of my favorite trails and I never get tired of it, but I was recently reminded how dangerous it is.  I recently found out on the news that someone slipped off the rocks at the top and passed away just a few days ago.  Hiking this trail isn't going to be the same.

  Here is my layout for the  July 30 Color with a twist challenge on the Memory Nest .  I really enjoy the colors on this layout.  I find them happy and soothing at the same time.  It's easy to spot the pop of red in the stitching and a little bit on the top of the page.  You can find chevron in the stamp I used and I found a cute cloud that had chevron on it too.  I just had to use it!  Oh, and I used the frame on that photo to hide a person that was in the background next to the rock.  It is such a sweet and simple photo of my husband and daughter, but I couldn't let it be distracted with a random person!     I really dig the colors and I was glad to find the wood paper that isn't brown!  It's from Echo Park's Here & Now collection.    I'm always glad to use random bits of scrap papers and ribbons from my stash.  The tag was just cut out from white cardstock and then I put some wash...

  I made another birthday layout for my daughter's scrapbook.  This time I used Paper Secrets challenge layout with a twist to help me along.  The twist was to use a number on your page, but it had to be more then an alpha sticker.  A while back I found a bunch of number paper clips, so I used the number 2 paper clip.   I don't have very many birthday embellishments, so I made the little candle charm.  I just love how it looks on the background paper from Simple Stories I (Heart) Summer.  I thought the summer paper was a bit refreshing from the normal birthday paper.  It works well since my daughter has a summer birthday!     Here you can see the 2 paper clip better and some cute heart shape balloon stickers.

  I created this page for the design team call over on the Memory Nest .  The yellow, blue, and green colors remind me a lot of my childhood bedroom, so bright and happy.  My background paper is from echo park's everyday eclectic. I also used up a bunch of scrap paper bits I had from Amy Tangerine.  I really wanted a frame around the middle photo but couldn't find anything that worked so I made it with just some light blue cardstock, a little misting on top of it, and a few doodles.     I found the Splish sticker in my stash.  I have had it for years and finally got the chance to use it.  The little blue calendar I made from some plain old blue cardstock.  I also used some misting and some sparkly jewels because they reminded me of bubbles.  I love adding some sparkle to a page!   I also added a little stitching with the heart and added a wooden veneer one too.  I have had such a hard tim...

  I had these cute summer photos of Moose that I had been waiting to scrapbook.  I just love all the bright colored paper and embellishments.  Well, I found this neat scrapbooking Tic-Tac-Toe challenge on SWAT .  I went for the diagonal and stamped on it, used ribbon, and used 3 different manufacturers (Papers from the take note from doodle bug, playground from echo park, and Sketchbook Bailey's Brush from Amy Tangerine).  Of course I needed a sketch to help bring it all together so I found one over at Scrap Friends .  The only thing was that it was a one photo layout.  So, I turned it into a little mini book to get all the photos I wanted on it. .  The photo of my daughter looking at her bellybutton inspired the title and all the rest of the b words.     I used lots of different embellishment that I had and a bunch that I made.  The yellow heart was actually my first attempt at a shaker box that ...

  I was talking to my mom the other day and she reminded me that my cousin in Holland was going to be getting married in a week and that I needed to send a card.  They are getting married in Alkmaar which is known for their outdoor cheese market.  Love that place!  Anyways, I didn't have any wedding cards on hand and it can take so long for anything to get mailed over there.  I didn't want to wait a day and go to the store and pick up a card, so I thought I would go and make one with some of the stuff I had on hand.  I remembered that there was a card challenge on the paper lovers blog , so I thought I would use that as a layout.  I used my favorite wedding stamp that I used on this card I made a few years ago and once again replaced the bouquet with a heart brad.  This photo makes the colors look way more crazy then they are in person, but I had to get this in the mail fast, so this is the only photo I hav...

This is really kind of a silly page.  I used the colors of my daughters hat when picking out papers for this page. I didn't have any dark blue paper so I got out my markers and did some coloring.  I know the title seems a little strange, but the upper right photo just reminds me of an Ewok so much. I used purple folded ribbon at the top of the photos and looped blue ribbon on the bottom.  I was almost done with this page when I went to get the mail and my friend had sent me a birthday package filled with scrapbooking goodies.  I knew I needed to use something from it so I added the little pink flower jewel on the bottom of the photo.  I also used the bird washi tape and I've been waiting a while to use it.

I recently have been accumulating a lot of washi tape and had no place to put it.  So I made a bowl to hold them all on my desk.  Washi tape is so cute.  I don't want to hide it all in a box in the drawer.  I'm totally hearting the bowl.  It is just like the ones I used to make back in high school.  It's almost as fun as the notes I used to write and fold up in cool origami shapes.  I kept some notes from back then because I think they are going to be a lost art form with all the texting going on.  Maybe I should make some tutorials on how to fold hand written notes so the art isn't forgotten. LOL!  I have a favorite spot in this bowl.  It is in the upper left of the bowl.  You can see Mario! Oh washi tape makes me so giddy!

I've been busy scrapbooking.  I' have so many pages to do.  I don't know how I get so far behind sometimes.  I got to use some of my washi tape on this page.  The blue ruffle was made with it. I made some little flags with toothpicks.  The blue one uses some scrap paper and the orange one is with some washi tape.
