Toddler Star Craft

I thought I could get some good craft time in with Moose and get some fun 4th of July decorations in the process.  I cut out a star out of some scrap paper and put packaging tape on one side.  Then I cut up some red, white and blue fabric scraps. I let Moose go to town. She didn't want to add any blue strips.  I wonder what goes on in her mind sometimes. When she was done, I put more tape on the other side so the strips were inbetween the tape.  Now let's see if Moose wants to do this again tomorrow.  I would love to have a few more on the window.

Star Banner

I've slowly been taking down my spring decorations and I realized that I didn't have anything for the 4th!  Last year at this time we were packing up to move and the year before I was very pregnant with Moose and the year befor that was another move.  So I have been trying to come up with some red, white and blue decorations! I quicky made this star banner and it fits right in with my bunny, hearts, and leaf ones.  I would have loved to do more with the stars, but July 4th is comming up fast!  I also would love to make a watermellon one because I don't want to have red, white and blue all summer long. Well it's off to making some more decorations!

Scrapbooking, hidden photos

I might just have a new favorite page.  You think there is only one photo, but really there are three! I made little "folders" to hold an extra photo each.  I could even add a photo on the back of each if I wanted.  I just love when my pages have some interaction to them. I made the little gumball charm.  The color bled a little bit, but it doesn't bother me to much. I found this little be happy thing and I had to add it onto the page.

Scrapbooking, Autumn

I'm not sure why, but this page did not want to photograph in the right colors.  The green really is a brighter green.... Anyways, I wanted to make a page that didn't scream fall but still had a fall feel.  So I stayed away from leaf paper and candy corn embellishments.  I thought the green, orange, and purple gave the feel I was going for.  There is a little brown and yellow on the page too.  I added a lot of little random embellishments so the page has almost a smash book feel to it. The stamp calender is my newest obsession.  I want to use it every layout. lol.

Father's Day Craft- Car Back Massage Shirt

Moose and I have been having a lot of fun making daddy's father's day gift.  It's a back massage shirt.  Moose has been having lots of fun driving her cars on it and it isn't even on daddy's back yet. We have been busy coloring on a t-shirt.  We have been putting on roads, houses, trees and all sorts of places and things. We live near Seattle so we put it on our shirt. Complete with the space needle in it's galaxy gold 50th anniversary color! We love to hike so we put lots of mountains on it. We had to add the beach on along with the lake. We also added a farm for the cars to drive by.   And we also added the playground and the zoo. We hope daddy likes it!

Scrapbooking, trying a new techinque

I was really loving this page and was loving how it was turning out until I tried to use perfect pearls mist and it all went wrong.  I tried using the mist on a scrap paper and it looked good so I thought I would put it on my page.  It started out looking ok, but I thought the one spot needed a little more.  So I added more and that is when it all went wrong.  It didn't dry well.  My page got all wrinkly and I kept trying to fix it and it got more and more wrinkly.  It's such a bummer because I really liked this page.  I'm not sure I'll use that mist again.  I've had this little kangaroo charm for a long time and was excited to finally be able to use it. The mist was looking good on this part of the page.  If only it would cooperate on the rest of the page.

Scrapbooking, Two Months Old

I've been busy scrapbooking.  I' have so many pages to do.  I don't know how I get so far behind sometimes.  I got to use some of my washi tape on this page.  The blue ruffle was made with it. I made some little flags with toothpicks.  The blue one uses some scrap paper and the orange one is with some washi tape.

Scrapbooking, Too Cute 2 Sleep

I've put all my sewing projects aside and found some time to scrapbook and it hasn't been easy.  Moose has decided that she doesn't need naps right now...and that was my main time to scrapbook.  Scrapbooking while she is awake is impossible.  Anyways, I found these to photos of her back when she was little and took plenty of naps and had to scrapbook them. I made the little sheep charm and I think it came out super cute.  It's my favorite part of this page. I made this little cloud with stars comming down and it has got me to think that my next baby mobile I make will have to be a cloud with stars comming down.
