Paper Crafts, Birthday Card for Opa

I just wanted to share this little birthday card that I made for my dad's birthday.  I've had these donut stamps on my desk for a long time and they have been screaming, "make a card using me!" lol.  So I did.  I just wish that I had better lighting when I took this, but if I waited for later in the day, then I would have missed the mailman.

Happy Monday!  Here is my latest layout for the Memory Nest . So, I knew I had this umbrella paper somewhere.  I was looking all over for it when I was making my little dude's layout.  Well, right after I finished his layout I found the paper!  So, I was determined to use that paper for my daughter's Easter layout now that I had found it. The umbrella paper has a lot going on, so I used half of it.  It also made the lines in the sketch more difficult to work with.  I had a bunch of ideas involving eggs, jelly beans, clouds and even a fence (that I spent way too much time cutting out for not using), but they all ended up too busy, so I stuck with just layers behind my photos.  The bunny and chick papers are ones that I stamped.  I don't often make my own pattern paper.  I forgot just how much fun it is to do! Scrapbooking, Easter Sprinkles

Happy Monday!  I actually got around to scraping some Easter Photos of this year already!  It is a record.  I'm usually a year behind lol! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this page I made for the Memory Nest .  This is the first year in Seattle (for the six years I've lived here) where it has rained.  My kids still had a blast in the down poor finding eggs.  It really was just about the worst weather we possible could have here.  I think in the county below us they might have even had a tornado!  The Puget sound averages one tornado a year and it only lasts for a second or two and does practically no damage.  We rarely even get any thunder storms. I hope you like my take on the sketch.  The strip down really spoke to me for turning it into rain.  I decided to sew some ombre rain drops.  Then I thought clouds would work well for the horizontal stripes in the sketch.  I was surprised just how many cloud embellishme...
