We rent the house we live in and I find the lamp in the dinning room rather ugly (of course my husband thinks it is just fine). One day I was just browsing blog land and I saw a picture of the same lamp and the fix the person came up with and I knew I had to try it one day. So I did. I used some poster board I had and some scrap fabric and tape and really quickly put it up to see what it would look like. I think it is better, but I'm going to have to redo it. You can tell where the extra fabric folds over and the seam where the poster board overlaps. I didn't realize how much light was still going to show through. What do you think?
November is such a crazy time. There are so many projects that have to be made for birthdays and Christmas. Making things is so much more fun then buying something random. Anyways, I made this cute car roll for Moose's best buddy's 2nd birthday. I'm loving how it came out and her friend has been having a blast putting his hot wheels in the little pockets. So here is how I made it so you can make one too! I don't have photos for every step because Moose was "helping" me the entire time and I couldn't juggle her and a camera very well.
