Scrapbook, Tulip Thoughts

Oh I've got a fun layout here!  I really wanted to try Scrap Our Stash's word challenge.  I had a great idea in my head that started as a single layout that changed two a double layout that ended up being a page and a half layout!  I used one of Bella Blvd's new Invisibles.  I really liked how it is fairly thick.  Much more sturdy than a transparency.  It really is going to add a cool layer to my little dude's scrapbook. So here is what I used for the challenge:   S-Stickers T-Twine and Thickers E-Enamel Dots N-Numbers C-Cork and Color I-"Invisable" L-Labels   When I started this layout is had eight photos on a 12x12, but it didn't leave me enough room for a title and journaling so I added another page.     The two pages gave me too much space so I thought I'll just make it a half a page and only add a few extra photos.  Now I don't have any half page page p...

Scrapbooking, Tree Climber

Hey it's Monday again and I've got one very bright and happy layout to share with you that I made for the Memory Nest's Make it Monday .  This is a really fun page with a bit of see through on it.  I'm trying to make more fun pages for my daughter's album.  She really has been enjoying looking at them a lot lately and she loves the interactive pages best.  So I shall be trying to make more interactive ones if I feel it works for the layout.  The photos I used were in landscape mode, so that definitely changed my layout a bit from the sketch.  I normally take things in landscape mode as I can get a better composition with a lot less effort.  You don't get much time to fiddle with your camera when you are taking photos of small children.  I know my kids will not pose at all.  I usually only get a second or two to grab my camera and capture a moment.   The photos I used are really recent.  I don't no...

Project Life, Week 4, 2015

Here is week 4.  Sorry for the major glare in a few spots.  I like to take my project life layout photo while it is in the page protector and this day just happened to be very bright and sunny.  That's a rare treat for winter! I don't really have a ton to say about this page.  I did realize though that I had forgotten to include my cool HoloLens experience on the week before's layout.  Basically, I got to be a super secret test subject for a trial run for its big announcement.  Then I had to keep my whole experience a secret from everyone for five days until it was announced.  So, I could scrap that I no longer had to keep a secret for this week.  Let me just say, that it is so hard to keep something like that!  Secrets are not my strong point!  Anyways, I put this crazy tiny journaling on a little tag behind the photo with the wooden frame and I'm really happy with how that card came out....

Project Life, Week 3, 2015

Here is my week 3 layout.  I basically just used a bunch of project life cards for this week.  Most are Amy Tangerine ones.  I used so many because I basically wanted to get it done fast fast fast!  It was a really ordinary week.  I have a picture of my son shopping, watching the compost guy come, watching daddy leave, my daughter playing at my desk, her at preschool, and celebrating her stuff animals birthday.  Bear's birthday really should be in August because my daughter got him for her birthday when she was a toddler, but she had spent the entire week talking about how Big Bear (that's his name) needed to have a birthday party, so my husband caved and made birthday brownies.

Scrapbooking, Snow Bunny

Hey everybody!  I'm excited to share my latest layout for the Memory Nest's Make it Monday .  I actually did something extra crazy this week, I made my first ever process video.  I hope you enjoy my babbles for 20 minutes of scrapy fun! lol.  I've been thinking about doing a video for a while, but it is a bit weird to hear yourself talk.  I definitely sound like I'm 12.  It shouldn't be weird because I used to make videos in college all the time.  A few close friends of mine will remember "Saskia's Corner."  It was an interesting little show where I interviewed people who lived in my dorm every episode.  Oh is was so goofy!     Hopefully if all goes well I might make some more.  Lets see if I can actually get somebody to watch it.  Maybe if I'm lucky I might even get a few people to watch it!   So here is the layout my page is based off of.  I actually stayed fairly true to the sketch....

Project Life, Week 2, 2015

I just wanted to share my project life layout for week 2.  Since the week before has a see throughish card, I had one less spot I could use.  I'm actually glad because I didn't have much to put in.  We spent one day of the week mostly packing up, the next day trying to fly, another day actually flying, and another day unpacking and cleaning up from Christmas.  The good thing about flying is that I finally could use some of the million airplane embellishments I have.  I can't even remember where I picked up the airplane paper clip, but I got it way before all the cute and different shaped paper clips came out.

Paper Crafts, Baby Hotair Balloon Card

So a couple of weeks ago I had to go to a baby shower.  Actually, we called it a sprinkle because this is her second child but her first girl so everyone wanted to get her some cute little girly things.  I thought I had a card, but I only had little boy ones so I quickly had to make one.  I stamped the images, colored it in, and made the flags stand out with some pop dots.  I was really happy with how simple and cute it came out.  What I didn't expect was how impressed my friend was with it.  She had to pass it around so everyone could see it.  Homemade cards are the best!
