Scrapbooking, Boots

I have been wanting to scrapbook my daughter's butterfly boots from the moment I gave them to her.  She would have worn these to bed if I let her!  She never wanted to wear anything else on her feet and totally worn them out and I ended up getting her a second pair, which also wore out before she could outgrow them.   I made this layout for The Memory Nest's  monochromatic challenge.  Since my daughter's boots are mostly pink, I picked pink for the challenge.  I actually really don't like the color pink, but I somehow have an awful lot of pink papers and embellishments to work with.  I had a lot of fun stamping away on the background and sewing the feather.  I also added some cute wood butterflies.

The 3rd Birthday, the Underwater Party

What would you be if you lived under the sea? Would you be big or would you be small? Would you wish to be a jelly fish? What kind of fish do you want to be?     We celebrated our daughter's 3rd birthday yesterday with her friends.   We had a lot of fun decorating.   She made the jellyfish with some help from mommy.  I think it is great that she helped make the decorations for her birthday.  The jellies are made from some paper bowls and some stuff that reminds me of Chinese finger traps for the tentacles that I only found at the craft store because I was chasing the munchkin and she kept running down random isles.  She also had made most of her birthday invites.   I also added some decorations on top of our mantle.  I had to dig for some scrap blue fabric.  I didn't have any single pieces that would stretch all away across, so I had to kind of weave them together and make them look kind of like waves.  I also ran out of green streamers, so my plant

Scrapbooking, Nine Months

Ops! Looks like I forgot to add some text to this post before I posted it. I'm going to blame it on the just had a baby thing.  =)     Anyways, I made this for the memory nest challenge number 6.   It was great to go back and scrap my daughter when she was a baby.  And to think now she is three...crazy!

It's a boy!

I can't believe it, but a week ago we added one more little member to our family.  Our little Ollie was born on July 31 at 11:16pm.  He came in at a solid 9 lbs. 4 oz.  He looks just like his big sister when she was born, except he has a little bit of dark hair.   We are all getting a bit adjusted to this little guy.     But he has completely melted our hearts.     Even if I am only getting a total of 4 hours of sleep at night.  =)
